Travel Itinerary:

Day 1. Ulan Bator. City tour. Folk Show

Arrive Ulan Bator airport/railway station. Meet your guide and transfer to a hotel for check-in. Sightseeing tour of Ulan Bator (or Ulaanbaatar as it is pronounced in Mongolian). The city tour takes you through some of the principal sights of this unique city. It starts with the visit the Gandan Monastery where you can observe the 26 m (85 ft) tall gilded Buddha statue and take part in the morning chants. Welcome lunch is served for you at a restaurant of traditional Mongolian cuisine.

After lunch the tour leads you to the Genghis Khan monument on the Sukhbaatar square - the main square of Mongolian capital. Then it proceeds to the Museum of National History which has a great number of fascinating exhibits of traditional Mongolian clothing and weaponry as well as the historical evidences and artifacts of the great Genghis Khan's empire. Transfer back to the hotel, free time. Meet in the lobby in the evening for transfer to Tumen Ekh Ensemble Theater where you can enjoy traditional Mongolian folk concert. Return to your hotel and overnight. (L, D)

Day 2. Ulan Bator. Giant Genghis Statue. Gun-Galuut Nature reserve

After breakfast depart to Giant Genghis Monument, a solid 50 m (164 ft) tall Genghis Statue - the world's largest equestrian monument. It is located 53 km (33 mi) to the east from Ulan Bator. Stop at the observation point to take photos of the sight. Continue your trip to Gun-Galuut Nature reserve, a wilderness reserve of rare wildlife and serenity.

Although located on a comparatively small area Gun-Galuut is one of the most popular nature reserves in Mongolia. The reserve is truly the marvelous combination of different ecosystems that can be found in Mongolia. The high mountains, colorful steppe, pretty lakes, rivers and wetlands with its famous rare species are all kept in the original wilderness. It is a home to endangered Mountain sheep - Argali the Big Horns, White-napped crane, Siberian White Crane and many others.

Arrive the reserve and transfer to Steppe Nomads camp. Lunch on site. Free time for leisure or hiking in the wilderness of Mongolian steppes. In the evening watch the chef preparing goat for traditional Mongolian roasted meat dinner “Khorkhog”. Barbeque party. Overnight in traditional gers (Mongolian yurt). (B, L, D)

Day 3. Gun-Galuut. Ulan Bator

Take a walk around the nature reserve. Visitors have the opportunity to watch and take pictures of endangered species including Argali Wild mountain sheep, White Naped Cranes and many other representatives of Mongolian wildlife. Optional horse riding, yak cart riding, kayaking, archery fishing etc are available (at extra charge). Return to Steppe Nomads camp for check out. After the lunch depart to Ulan Bator. On the way back visit Mongolian family to see yourself the old traditional nomadic lifestyle. Arrive in Ulan Bator hotel for check in. Free time for shopping. Meet your guide at the hotel lobby and have a farewell dinner at a fine restaurant with music and dances. Transfer back to the hotel, prepare for the early check out. (B, L, D)

Day 4. Depart Mongolia

Meet in the hotel lobby and transfer to the airport/train station. (B)
