Description: Your guide will meet you at the airport/railway station/hotel in Irkutsk. Take 3,5 hour panoramic sightseeing tour around all of Irkutsk major historical sights including Znamensky Orthodox Cathedral, old streets and squares of historical center of the city, old-style wooden houses with distinctive hand-carved trims found on the smaller streets of Irkutsk,  the Monument to Russian Pioneers of Siberia topped by a bronze statute of Russian Emperor Alexander III, and many more. Proceed with the guided tour to the Decembrist museum in Prince Volkonsky Mansion (or any other Irkutsk museums of your choice – Fine Art Museum, Regional Studies Museum, Museum of the History of Irkutsk). Prince Volkonsky was one of the nobles exiled to Siberia for taking part in December 1825 rebellion against Russian Tsar. Return to your hotel.
