Arriving Moscow you will discover the fascinating city, one of the global capitals, which is considered to be a must for everybody visiting Russia. Moscow can be an overwhelming experience – there is so much to see and do. Our program will allow you feel the charm of the city and give you an idea of the most essential sites in Russia’s capital. Meanwhile this is a slow pace program that will leave you enough time for relaxing after long-distance flights and for wondering around streets and squares.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Moscow

Arrive Moscow airport/railway station. We will meet you there and drive you directly to your hotel for your first night. Free time to rest.

Day 2:  Moscow. City tour. Novodevichy Monastery

Take a panoramic sightseeing tour to see all major historical sights of Moscow. The tour starts from the very center of the city - the Red Square and Kremlin walls. Passing St. Basil's Cathedral, the State Historical Museum and other sights of the area we move along the Moskva River embankment. On the way, enjoy views on Kremlin walls and the Cathedral of the Christ the Savior. Continue to Moscow State University. Stop at the Sparrow Hills observation spot near the university which provides an outstanding view over the historical part of the city. After that, visit the Novodevichy Convent founded in 1524 and considered to be one of the most beautiful sights in Moscow. Travel further through the new and old streets and squares of the largest city in continental Europe. Lunch in Russian cuisine restaurant. Return to your hotel. Included: (B), (L).

Day 3: Moscow. Kremlin tour. Metro tour. Tretyakov Gallery

Start the day with a hiking excursion to the heart of the city - Kremlin Grounds. In the Kremlin visit one of the Cathedrals for an introduction to the Tsars who ruled from Moscow. Lunch in one of city restaurants. Then, take a Moscow State Metro excursion with your local guide. It is the world’s second busiest metro in the world. Moscow metro is well-known for the ornate design of its stations built in 1930s that represent outstanding examples of socialist realism.

Then you will proceed to Tretyakov Gallery for the largest collection of Russian art. The gallery was established in 1856 when local merchant Pavel Tretyakov started to purchase works of famous Russian artists and later presented his collection to the Russian nation. Today Tretyakov Gallery collection includes over 130,000 masterpieces of Russian art from Andrei Rublev’s Trinity to Malevich Black Square.  Return to your hotel. Included: (B), (L).

Day 4: Moscow. Sergiev Posad tour

Sergiev Posad is the small city near Moscow. It grew up in XV-th century around one of the greatest monasteries of Russian Empire. During communist era the city was renamed to Zagorsk and only in 1991 it had the original name returned to it. Today Sergiev Posad with its golden onion-shaped churches of Troitse-Sergieva (Trinity) Lavra is considered to be the religious center of Orthodox Russia. Lunch at Sergiev Posad restaurant. Return to your hotel. Included: (B), (L).

Day 5: Moscow. Departure
Free time in the morning. Transfer to airport/railway station. Included: (B).
