This self-guided tour provides an opportunity to travel to Irkutsk and Listvyanka settlement on Lake Baikal waterside with no fixed itinerary for the day. There will be no one to direct the route, time, or place while you are touring these destinations. Upon arrival we meet you at Irkutsk airport or railway station and transfer you to Listvyanka settlement. On the way to Baikal our experienced guide will suggest you the places worth seeing there.

After checking in a hotel or guesthouse you have free time to rest and explore Listvyanka. Spend the next day on your own visiting Saint-Nicolas Orthodox church, Baikal Ecology Museum, famous Shaman-rock viewpoint and hiking to Chersky peak. Watch Baikal nerpa, the only fresh water seal in the world, in the nearby nerpinarium or take an hour trip from the main pier on board of “Babushkin” excursion boat around Listvyanka bay. When tired of excursions simply take a little walk along the main street of Listvyanka away from the settlement to find a secluded rocky beach; relax enjoying the sunshine and having a picnic at the waterside.

On the third day depart for Irkutsk where you check in hotel for another night. Take a taxi or experience riding a streetcar to get to the city most important historical sites. Next morning our guide picks you up in the hotel and gives you a ride to Irkutsk airport or railway station.

Day 1: Listvyanka. Meet at the airport/railway station. Transfer to Listvyanka. Check in at a guesthouse. Free time to explore Listvyanka.

Day 2: Listvyanka. Breakfast. Free time.

Day 3: Irkutsk. Breakfast. Transfer to Irkutsk. Check in a hotel. Free time to explore the historical center of Irkutsk.

Day 4: Irkutsk.  Breakfast. Transfer to airport/railway.
